As of 5/24/18 the 442.175(+) Gold Hill machine has been changed to full-time DMR operation. It is working fantastic and a bunch of us are enjoying having nice, clear DMR QSO’s using handheld radios to actually go through the repeater direct from distances we were not able to when it was running as an analog FM repeater. The local talkgroup for this repeater is TG 310023 (the East Central Alabama DRM Group) on TS:2, CC;1. For in-depth details on this repeater including usage of the two times slots, linking, photos of the build and installation, and more, just click on this link to go straight to the page for the 442.175(+) KK4ICE DMR Gold Hill Repeater.
